rk(s)ume
Source-first resume editor built around Markdown and CSS, with live paper preview, offline drafts, revision history, and shareable saved snapshots.

Overview
A browser-based resume editor where every resume is an editable bundle of Markdown, document CSS, and print settings. Authors see a live paper preview as they edit, can create independent variants, reuse library snippets, restore revisions, and print the current draft or a saved shared version to PDF.
Key Features
- CodeMirror source editors for Markdown and CSS beside a live, sandboxed paper preview
- Versioned resume files in Postgres with optimistic concurrency checks and conflict handling
- IndexedDB draft queue that preserves edits offline and retries cloud saves when connectivity returns
- Independent resume variants, reusable Markdown snippets, and restorable revision history
- Share links pinned to a saved revision, with password, expiry, redaction, and export controls
- Browser-native PDF export using the current in-memory draft, including unsynced edits
Technical Challenges
Maintained preview and print fidelity while supporting arbitrary author CSS, variable redaction, browser font loading, and multi-page documents. The save path also needed to keep local drafts safe through offline work and surface version conflicts instead of silently overwriting another session.
Outcome
Delivered a source-controlled resume workflow with immediate preview updates, durable cloud revision history, and shareable snapshots that remain unchanged after later edits.
